VertexPlayer is a local media player application. We want to be clear about what we do NOT collect:

• Media Content: We do not access, upload, or store your videos, audio files, or any media content on external servers.
• Location Data: We do not track or collect your location.
• Usage Analytics: We do not track how you use the app or what content you play.

3. Permissions We Request

To function properly, VertexPlayer requires certain device permissions:

3.1 Storage Permission

We request access to your device storage to:

• Browse and display your local video and audio files
• Read media metadata (title, duration, thumbnails)
• Play media files stored on your device

This access is used solely for local playback. Your files are never uploaded or transmitted anywhere.

3.2 Network Permission

We request network access to:

• Play network streams (HTTP, RTSP, RTMP, HLS, DASH) when you provide a URL
• Load remote media content that you explicitly request

We do not use network access to transmit your data or track your activity.

3.3 Foreground Service Permission

We use foreground services to:

• Continue audio playback when the app is in the background
• Display playback controls in the notification area

4. Third-Party Services

VertexPlayer may include the following third-party services:

4.1 Firebase Crashlytics

We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and improve app stability. This service may collect:

• Crash logs and stack traces
• Device model and OS version
• App version information

4.2 Firebase Analytics

We may use Firebase Analytics to understand general app usage patterns. This helps us improve the app experience. You can opt out of analytics in your device settings.

5. Data Storage

All app preferences and settings are stored locally on your device using standard Android storage mechanisms. This includes:

• Playback settings (volume, speed, etc.)
• User preferences (theme, gestures, etc.)
• Recent playback history (stored locally only)

This data never leaves your device and can be cleared by uninstalling the app or clearing app data.

6. Network Streams

When you play network streams:

• You provide the URL directly
• The app connects directly to the stream source
• We do not proxy, log, or store the URLs you access
• Stream history is stored locally on your device only

7. Children's Privacy

VertexPlayer does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app does not require any account creation or personal information submission.

8. Data Security

Since we do not collect or transmit personal data, there is minimal security risk associated with using VertexPlayer. All data remains on your device under your control.

9. Your Rights

Since we do not collect personal data, there is no personal data for us to provide, modify, or delete. You have full control over your local data through your device settings.
